At the time of this photo, this was 'Schnipke's Corners' a little store/gas station run by two old ladies, both named Thelma. I would ride my bike down to this store to buy candy and cigarettes for my sisters. It smelled funky but I can still recall the joy of opening up the old fridge in the back and getting out a Welch's grape soda.
