This was the Louis and Phyllis Powell farm located in Aetna Township in the Village of Morley. The address back then was Jefferson Road, but now is 655 W. Fifth Street. Mom and Dad lived there for over 60 years. The house still stands. Though it has been remodeled since this picture was taken, it still looks quite similar. The barn was demolished by a tornado in the late 80s and the old tractor/grain building still stands (the roof was altered and new siding added). The farm has been sold since this picture was taken, but I am happy to say it still is a small farm. The tractor in the picture is now owned by my brother, Louis Powell Jr. It was a wonderful place to have grown up. Five children have a lot of memories having been raised on this farm.
