This was the farm of Conrad and Mildred Hoffman, and their only child, Douglas. The farm house was replaced by this brick rancher around 1960 (perhaps built by the Bartletts). Douglas married my aunt Phyllis Bruening Hoffman in 1956 and built a similar house on the corner of Whitbeck and Fruitvale. Skip and Mary Bartlett owned it for many years. It was sold to Jim and Pat Wangerin (my sister and BIL) in 2004.
