This was my great grandpa's farm. The shop and chicken coop have been torn down. The silo was replaced with a taller one and the barn is painted red. The corn crib and grain shed behind the tree are gone also. I was there when the photo was taken doing the chores while my uncle went deer hunting. I left for boot camp later that fall. The house and garage were torn down from a fire. It has been in the family for over 100 years. The state asked gmp if they could buy the land to put the highway in as seen in the top part of the picture. He sold it to the state under the condition they put a cattle chute under the road so the cows could go back to the pasture. It was used till 2016 when the cows were sold.
