When I was little, Taylors lived here. Her name was Viola, and I can't remember his name. They raised chickens and we used to get eggs from them. I think she was a music teacher. When New Era once had a piano smashing contest, Viola Taylor objected to ruining pianos. In the 1970s, it was purchased by Lefty and Polly Balenci. Polly was my Girl Scout leader for many years. God bless her for her dedication to kids.
