I lived in the house on this farm from Nov.1962 (when my parents bought it) until I left to attend college in 1970. The old barn was torn down long ago, and the apple orchard behind the house was cut down after my father died in 2000. I'm sure my brothers, who still live in Michigan and see this place more often, could point out other changes.

This was during the half-a-barn period at the Lange farm. There was a serious de-crapification effort in 1986, commissioned by our mom. Indescribable mountains of β€œstuff” were hauled away, and the stuff in the barn was consolidated into half the barn, and the empty half was torn down. So, yes, we was hillbillies.
