This looks to be the old Barr Farm on Norman Rd in Lynn Township, Yale. I grew up on this farm. We moved here around 1961. The corn crib, chicken house and machine shed are gone. In back of the house there used to be 2 wagon wheels standing in the yard covered in rambling roses. The acreage was rented to Tad Hamada, a Japanese man who raised crops for the Eastern Market. He always brought in migrant field laborers to work the fields and my befriending many of them is how I learned to speak Spanish and to love the Mexican culture. I had a wonderful childhood growing up here with my 5 brothers and sister. I see the orchard is also long gone.
