This was my grandfather's 80 acre farm, just north of the corner of Rick Road and Bay City Forestville Road. My father owns the property now, along with the 80 acre farm directly north of this. At far right are the house (gone), left of it is a utility building we called the cellar, which was connected to the house by a breezeway (cellar still standing). Center is the garage (still standing). Left of that is the "old barn" (gone). Behind the old barn was a chicken coop, can't tell if that's still standing here or not (gone now). In front of the chicken coop stood two 250 gallon fuel barrels for the farm equipment, one gas, one diesel (gone now). Behind the coop location is an old toolshed (gone).Far left is the "new barn" (still standing). The lane leading from beside the new barn back to the woods is gone, it is now located where the light colored band leads back to the right edge of the woods, which is also the property line between the two 80 acre farms. Far left center are the first two of about 7 black walnut trees that stood in the middle of the field. Far left foreground is the edge of a sycamore tree. The sycamore and black walnuts are gone now.
