John Munson (1858-1947) bought this farm on Munson Hill from his uncle Jens Nelson in 1892. John and wife Emma (Johnson) raised 10 children there. Oldest son Oscar and wife Esther (Nelson) farmed and raised one daughter Jean (Lindstrom) who owns farm at age 89, as of 2022. All are buried at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, Welch, MN. Highway 61 has two additional lanes since this picture The highway project required that the barnl be torn down.
