This property was owned by my grandparents, Stan and Mary Nickerson who moved to Truman in 1936. Their home was the second floor apartment which they shared with three daughters two sons, one of whom died in childhood. Mary managed the cafe and gift shop. Stan managed the gas station,car dealership and a auto repair shop with his son, Russel. Stan died in mid 1970s. Mary worked until she was 80 in 1980. She died in 1987.
