Clara Hildebrandt farm (Podratz before that)

Wendel and Deb Marotzke(my grandparents) live here now, only thing left is the sheep barn in the foreground and a garage not visible . The house stood until about 15 years ago when it was demolished and a newer one moved in.

What was the reason for building a new house? Do you happen to know when some of the outbuildings were torn down?

Alexis - the old house was well past its prime. It was a very basic farmhouse and served its purpose for a long time. My parents moved out there in 1993 and the barn was basically on the ground by then. Eventually they dozed and buried it. Around 2001, they build a machine shed where the other shed is (to the right, between the house and sheep shed).
