This is one of the Welter farms. My grandmother and uncles ran it at the time this was taken. My family lived there during this time also, while we built a house nearby. The farm used to sit just south of the football field, where all those big ugly houses are now. The house was burned to make way for the "improvements". A few of the old trees still survive.

So many fond memories of growing up there! Playing in the barns and other buildings, creating "forts", the old swing set, chasing cows across the road, working in the big garden, canning, playing ball in the yard, riding bikes, riding in the truck or gravity box at corn harvest, smelling the fresh cut hay, sledding on the hills in the winter, picking rocks in the spring, playing hide and seek or kick the can in the machine shed, etc.

I remember growing up on the farm with my family also alot of great times ! Going to the milking parlor and seeing them milk cows and all the things that come with farming! even though I was young I remember alot of things.
