This and the next pic was the Elstroth farm. It was owned by a brother and sister, Herbie and Bertha both of whom never married nor had any children. My grandpa Tom Kitson farmed the ground until 1968 when he was killed in a farming accident on his own farm. I spent a lot of time here growing up and the Elstroths were very kind country folks. I donΓ’Β™t believe they hardly ever ventured outside Lincoln County. The farm went to distant relatives upon their passing and was parceled out. The firehouse now sets about where the old home was and the school, subdivisions, businesses and cemetery now occupy the old farmstead.
