I own this place now. All the building are still here except for the slow is no longer there just the concrete pad. More fencing around the back for horses. I wish our barn across the road from the house was in this picture. This farm dates back to 1800, still researching for previous owners after the son was given the farm in 1860 after the war.

Hi Cathy! How fascinating that you now own this place with its rich history dating back to 1800. It's unfortunate that the barn across the road isn't captured in the photo. We'd love to hear more about your memories of growing up in Clermont County. Since the photo was taken in 1984, have you noticed any significant changes to the area or the neighboring properties? Also, we're curious about the type of farming you've done on the property.

We have had this place 8 years in December 2023. The barn across the road from the house has meat cows. The large barn has horses. The crop field gets alternated with soy bean and corn. Depending on the market value that year. Found 2 other pictures. I'll be ordering prints.

Hi Cathy, thanks for sharing your memories of the property! It's great to hear about the barns and the crop rotation. Do you remember what other types of farming were done on the property back in 1984? We're always interested in learning more about the history of these aerial photos.
