The old Plain's school and church. Whetstone Township Ohio
Both structures are gone now. The church was torn down in 2006 while the school building "bit the dust" some years earlier. My father started out his education there and the it was the family church for many years. I remember both buildings well. The bell from the church is now in use at Grace Fellowship Church in Mansfield, OH.
The former Plains German Methodist Episcopal Church (at left), in which many of my ancestors worshiped (demolished in March 2006), and the one room Plains School (at right), where several of them received their early education (demolished in about 2000).
