This is the home I was raised in from the age of 4. We lived in the old two story farm house from 1958 till 1969, when we moved into the house that my parents had built. My father(Maxie H. Knauff) and his family also had lived in the old brick, back when he was a young high school student.

The barn caught fire three different times. The last time was when my father lived there with his family. He was burned extensively, trying to save the family's horses. His father past away a few years later, and my father and his new wife stayed and helped his mother and his 7 brother and sister get settled in a new place. His goal was to be able to buy the place and raise his family.
