This is the old Karnes Orchard in the foreground and is still owned and run by the Karnes family, the orchard looks much different today with modern growing techniques now being used for the apple trees. The Karnes's still own the barn on the left side of the photo and it's still there, though the surrounding sheds are gone.

The farm on the far side of the road was owned by Mary Ross and was passed on to one of her daughters after her death. The house is hidden in the trees but is still there and has been well maintained. The barn on the right is still there as well and is part of the Ross farm, though was repaired in the early 2000's after it partially collapsed during a possible tornado. The field in the background is also part of the farm and is still used to grow mainly corn and soybeans, but occasionally wheat also.

The only other thing of note is that the road doesn't appear to be paved in this photo, but it may have been as I was too young at this time to remember. I'm surprise at how little has changed overall.
