This was P.O. Harbages farm and surrounding property...He was born here in 1898 and he lived there until the day he died in 1985. My Mother Nancy Davidson has lived there almost her entire life and still does...I grew up on this farm as well. I lived in this home until 1977 then I moved from the area. I have the most amazing memories of this wonderful property and all the fun I had with all of my cousins. The low land in the middle of the top field was our favorite ice skating rink! The changes that happened to this property are many...the barn, the three out buildings, the out house and the chicken coop no longer stand... The house and the "buggy shed" at the far left still stand. Many trees no longer stand some by nature some by the farmer who purchased the fields from my grandfather in the mid to late 70's....the catalpa trees along that back fence line were taken down, heck all the trees were taken down that ran along the fence rows and burned ...It was a sad sad day for me...and I remember it well. I guess they wanted to farm every inch.
