This is a picture of the McGee homestead. It has passed down through my family since 1875. Our family records show the house dates around 1876 and the bank barn in 1888 all built from hand hewn logs by my great, great, great, great grandfather John J. McGee. I was 3 years old when this picture was taken and remember it looking this way like it was yesterday. It has changed since this picture but, we still farm the land and keep up the buildings as best we can. All structures are standing as they are in this picture today. It looks to be my grandfathers truck in front of the garage and one of his many Oliver tractors in the driveway too.
