Mail Pouch Tobacco barn

The pin on the map is the location where the Mail Pouch barn in the photo above stood. The Ohio Dept. of Transportation aerial photo archives were used to locate this barn. The only views of the area were 1972 views and the house and the barn were gone by March 1972. The driveway from the highway back to the house, the areas where the house and barn had been located and the tree/shrub line between the barn and the house and continuing across the highway are all visible. The tree/shrub line was lining a creek and the culvert running under the highway is clearly shown on Google satellite imagery. The site remains are clearly shown on Ohio Dept. of Transportation aerial photo ODOT # 4983-2-16, dated, Mar. 19, 1972. The Mail Pouch barn is ID'd as MPB 35-58-16 on the Mail Pouch Barnstormer's website.
