This farm on Reeves Rd. belonged to the Reeves family as an 1812 War Grant to a soldier who took a Dutch bride and had many children. Over the years parts were sold off from the original granted land. At the passing of Anna Mae Reeves Reynolds in about 1985, William Rudder bought the remaining 124 acres. His daughter and son-in-law have lived there since. The hedgerow in the lower right corner is no longer there as many fencerows were removed for "modern" farming though natural the south side is now in CRP program. Anna Mae had the house sided and shuttered before her death. The chicken houses behind the main house were moved to the pasture behind the barn and the pasture cleared of hedge trees. To the left of the house or east is now organic gardens and south of the house now stands 3 greenhouses. The woods out of the picture to the NW still stand tall.
