My parents built this home in approximately 1957 Dad even dug the basement. Mom helped him with the cement blocks and she did all the woodworking in the house. Dad even built the kitchen cupboards. They did everything except the brick and plaster The floors were from an old school in New Washington that was being torn down. They cleaned and finished the wood flooring. It was beautiful. We lived in the basement while they finished the upstairs. My uncle lived in the house to the right and my grandfather lived in the house ( not pictured) that was to the right of my uncle. The land behind the house was owned by my grandfather's, too.
