I grew up on this farm. Owned by Clarence (CJ) Swallen. He built the house I was born in across the street in order to honor a World War II vet, which fortunately, was my father and our family. Mr. Swallen was an accountant for Ohio Power Co. He and my father (later me, when I was older) farmed this place. Had Hereford cattle, hogs and chickens. Mr. Swallen donated part of his land to the church, which built Chapel Hill. He also donated some to Lawrence Twp., which built the Genevieve Swallen (his wife) Fire Station. Farm is now owned by a Rohr (Clarence?). My high school class-mate, Darlene May, also grew up here in a small cottage behind the farm house (obscured by trees).

The property is owned by Dale Rohr. The little cottage behind it is now a Rohr Family Museum and party center. Our family now farms it and we have had many fun reunions & birthday party's in the party center.
As I recall, Mr. Swallen sold it to my Dad because he didn't want it to be turned into another housing allotment or shopping center. He knew my dad would continue to farm the land.
