This appears to be the farmhouse built by Elder Putman around 1890 on the farm established by Peter Putman on Rhodes Mill Rd. From around 1921 until sometime in the 1950s, it was the home of Elder's son, Clarence, and his wife, the former Maude Hoffman who was my grandmother's sister. The large barn, torn down around 2000, was the last surviving structure although some indications of the lane still remained as of 2010.
