this is my home place. the outbuilding (smoke house) in the back yard is where mom kept her wringer washer. we would have to draw 27 buckets of water from the well and that was just to do the white clothes and then draw more water from the well to do the colored clothes. there was alot of green beans and corn (packed and wrapped in old blankets so they wouldn't hit each other while boiling) canned over an open fire in that back yard. grandpa and grandma cured their hams in that building. other than some trees and the outside toilet gone, home still looks about the same.so many good memories!
