am in north west corner of warren county would like to see more pix of warren county

Red Lion looking northwest. This is a great view of how it once was as almost everything in this scene has since changed and the buildings have all since been torn down...

The garage seen in the left edge of the picture (built in 1901) still stands. Based on a land trace, that plot of land was owned by William H. Ballard who had a store and a match factory. I'm unsure if the large structure next to the aforementioned garage was said store. The red house that is next to/behind the 'store' also stands on land once owned by W. H. Ballard. The Red Lion Tavern used to stand where the Mobil Station is in this picture. The town's original name of Westfield was forever changed when the tavern owner (research shows his name was Holly) painted a large red lion on a sign outside the tavern. It was so identifiable that the town became known as Red Lion.

Almostt everything has changed,,,,great little town to grow up!,
