This farm belonged to my Grandfather and Grandmother (on my father's side) as early as 1922. My father was born here in 1924. He had 2 brothers and 4 sisters. I have an aerial photograph of this farm from that time. Growing up, I helped work the farm. It was a dairy farm and my Grandmother also sold eggs, which I helped her collect from the hen house. They had an apple orchard, bees for honey, and grew wheat, corn, soybeans, alfalfa for hay. I have many fond memories of days spent here. One of my aunt's and her husband lived here after my grandparents were too old to run the farm. Eventually, the farm was sold to someone else. The house, barn, and a machine shed still remain today, but the surrounding farmland has be broken up into residential lots and many houses have been built.
