Corner of Bristol Road and Rt. 202 in Chalfont, PA. The buildings pictured are (left to right) a Getty gas station, Pit-Catcher bowling alley, and the Bull Pen dairy bar and restaurant. The Bull Pen and bowling alley were co-owned by former baseball player Bobby Shcantz (sp?).
All of these buildings gone now. 2021
During 'the War' I passed through this intersection, going to the Doylestown Inn, and back several times per week. The little building in lower left corner was a very small gas station with candy and such, The owner, operator was Mr. Encternockt(?) He did a small side business getting special (favors) rationed items. There were no buildings across Bristol road that I remember. Although a cinder block building was put in there about then, for tractor repair, John Deere I believe.
