silverside swimming pool??? Chicora pa... I believe. I grew up going here.

I met my wife in 1967 on the bank at the rear of the pool .

Nice T bird at Ginos.

Notice the "Wheel of Death" in the center of the pool! I enjoyed many trips to Silverside during my youth. I also slipped and almost fell to my death many times there as well! Wasn't it the Kepple boy that was gruesomely injured on that thing?!? Kids these days don't know how easy they have it! 😁😬😎

I almost drown there my cousin stopped that wheel in the water my knee was lodged between the wheel and frame as the wheel went around it kept pulling me under when I made it back to land my knee looked horrible that was back in 1966 I survived.

Went there many times with my boyfriend ( John Riley) In the 50's. Remember the wheel. Everyone tried it once! Was sad to see it gone, but time goes on!

I know the one Fallecker boy was paralyzed up there from the wheel. I live up hollow from them.

Moonlight swims were the best . Edgar Snyder would love for that wheel.

My name is Tim Wallace my wife and I now own the land where Silver side pool was, We have a landscape supply yard there now. My friend's sister would take us swimming there when we were kids. I will always remember the wheel The pool is still there the bottom was broke out and it was filled in with dirt. I also own the ice cream stand across the road which is now Gino,s . I don't know the history of it back then. Maybe someone can help with that.

I learned to swim there! That wheel was something else!

MY BROTHERS TAUGHT ME TO SWIM THERE. THEIR PROGRAM WAS CALLED SINK OR SWIM!

Took my boys there almost everyday. My husband's cousin Sandy Maley owned the custard stand. I sure missed seeing the pool back when it got filled in.

A@W Rootbeer was not too far away
