This picture was taken when Bruce and Doris Winters owned the farm. In 1986 they sold it to their daughter Kathy Winters Nicholson and son-in-law Steve Nicholson. In 1995, due to cancer in the family, the remodeled house had to be sold out of the family. This picture was taken right after the garage had been added on in 1966. The big lime/lye pile was there because the family horse had died from a chicken carrying disease, ( the vet had Penn State agriculture come and check the horse). The ground had to be covered in the lime, then covered with ground and plowed under for 10 years until horses could have been brought back unto the property. Thus the bull was sold and the fences and pony barn were taken down. The main barn remained for a few more years. Thanks Vintage Aerial for keeping this memory alive. This is the only known picture of the pony barn, main barn, and outhouse that any of our family have. Sadly for us, the house is out of the family, but I can't wait to have the picture on our wall. Kathy Winters Nicholson
