I still own the property. The house was built in 1939 and was on the National Historic List. It was known as the Thralls Mansion (after the designer and builder, Ernest Thralls). In 2000 it was Long wall mined under and damaged so bad that it had to be abandoned after a lengthy court battle between The Brendel family and Consol Coal Co. The house was torn down in 2007. A smaller, more modest home was built right behind it incorporating many of the features of the original mansion. It is located in Spraggs, Pa. at the intersection of Forney Hollow Rd. and Old Church lane near State Rt. 218.
