This is the William Harrison Weimer m. 1896 to Ida Ellen Hoover Family Farm, which was once known as the David Wable farm/store. Purchased by Billy Weimer in 1901, has had only three Weimer generations own the property at R.D. 1 Rockwood, now known as Hauger Road. Kenneth William Weimer m. Susie Alverda Mitchell were the second owners and lived in the farmhouse pictured. Original farmhouse where Billy and Ida's 10 children were born was in the trees to the right of the current farmhouse. My parents own this property today, 2016. I grew up in a house off the picture to the left.
The main barn has had two additions built on, plus a second, larger silo next to the original, which is now gone. The pig barn, large hen house and corn crib are no longer standing. A pond exists now where the cows are standing in this picture. Longhorn cattle now roam the pasture fields where Holstein dairy animals once lived.
