The Amber Light Drive-In Restaurant was there and they tore that down to build the bank. They had a large mechanical sign of a girl waving her arm along Queen St. and I use to sit on the base of that waiting for the city bus to take me to school at St. John's Lutheran on W. King St. in York. After I got my Driver's License I plowed the snow at this bank with Jerry Fix's Jeep from the Gulf Station next door.

My first full time job starting in 1973, it was then Southern Pennsylvania National Bank (later became Southern Pennsylvania Bank). I loved my job there.
