Definitely not Avalong's. Structure has the classic Howard Johnson's roofline and cupola. Pretty sure the sign out front is Howard Johnson's. Spent many Sunday lunches there after church!
Absolutely the old Howard Johnson Restaurant at 3560 E. Market St, York, PA. Since 2010 this restaurant is the Stonybrook Family Restaurant.
My older brother worked as a bus boy at this HoJo's in 1960. We lived in Wilshire Hills, so it was close to home.
