The R.D. Martin farm. The building at the bottom of the image is the old Kitty Martin store. At the corner of Sixteenth Model Rd and J.E. Sartain Rd. The store is now gone.

My uncle Harvey and one of his friends stopped at Ms. Martin's store and bought some cold drinks and some candy bars about 1967. They opened the candy and there were little worms in it. They looked at the label, and the date was "1948" lolol!!

That would be so gross. Hopefully, no one bit into it. Did the store have a name? Is the building still there today?

He always called it Ms. Martin's store, and yeah, they bit into the candy but spit it out when they saw the little worms. LOLOL. She apparently never rotated stock. Those candy bars had been there 19 years. lol!
