Lessley Newland farm, my grandfather’s namesake.

Hi Leslie,
What kind of farm did Lessley Newland have on the property? How long has the farm been in the Newland family?

Predominantly a cattle farm; but then has hay fields, and corn crops, to support cattle farming.
Most families would also have gardens to support their family's table.
The Newlands would have moved from Virginia to here between 1803 and 1809.
