E. Belknap St & Beach St

This was a shopping center off Belknap. My mother bought my first Barbie doll in 1959-60 at Coxes. My family doctor was. Doctor Dicky who had an office in that mall. As a teen I worked across the street at the Lone Star restaurant. Which had been a car hop restaurant combine before as my mother was a car hop there. Then off Beach st. was a small trailer park I lived at for a few months in 1971. Use to walk West of there where Carter Riverside high is. The famous Sammie BBQ restaurant is West of this picture. Lots of memories. Once my friends one night at that intersection picked up an older blind negro man. We were all teenagers and sang with him took him to downtown Ft. Worth as he requested.
