my family owned this farm, my grandparents bought it in the 1950's, address was rt1 box 244 Smithfield TX. it was on Chapman Dr, it was 40 acres, it was sold in the 1980's to developers who built a housing division on it.

Hi Jason, that's fascinating! It must have been quite an experience growing up on a farm in Tarrant County. We'd love to hear more about your memories from that time. What kind of farming did your family do on the property?

at one time we had cattle then grew wheat and oats. we use to hunt dove and quail on the property as we didn't have neighbors anywhere near us...way back in those good ol' days.

the last address for the farm was 7045 Chapman dr. Smithfield TX but Smithfield has since been annexed by North Richland Hills.
