This was a small country store that served the community. Cliff Martin originally ran the store, it was the quintessential country store with a little bit of everything. This particular one had green concrete floors and several forms of seating ranging from old ladderback chairs to random wooden barrels (small ones) that nails would ship in. Cliff’s was a favorite Sunday afternoon β€œloafing” spot for men and their sons to meet up and trade stories. It eventually changed hands and became the Orchard Gap Deli (pictured here). The building remains but the business is long gone.
