The intersection of what is now University Blvd and Market Street. In 1982 this part of University Blvd. was just an access road for the Valley Mall and the KMart and original Kroger location. Today Spotswood Valley Shopping Center sits in the field at the top of the photo. The building cut off in the far right then was the Con-Agri building, subsequently the Deyerle Building followed by Color Tile and currently Harbor Frieght. The fuel station in the picture (which appears to be a Phillips 66) is where the current Mattress Firm is (previously Blockbuster Video).
