In the 1970’s my father, Wayford Van Dennison, built these buildings for his business, Dennison Tool & Die. He also built the log home on the right that we lived in. In the 90’s he relocated the business to a new building off of I-79 on ‘New’ Hwy 19. The buildings in the photo are now occupied by the Flatwoods Fire Department.
Thanks for the great comment, Laurie! It's so interesting to hear the history behind these buildings. We love hearing stories like this! Do you have any other memories or stories about growing up in Braxton County? And have you visited the buildings since they became occupied by the Fire Department?
I have only driven past on the main highway but it would be interesting to see what it looks like inside now. I’m glad the buildings are being used and well cared for.
