This photograph depicts a farmstead that I believe was torn down to make way for the US Highway 53 corridor. The location is based on matching the treelines in the background to 1992 aerial photography and 1973 USGS topo maps and remnants of a farmstead on the west side of Highway 53. I believe the location is on the west side of Highway 53 (pictured in the foreground) half way between the intersection with Old Highway 93 and the northern extent of Highway HD. There are farmstead remains including a silo and several foundations in a copse of trees that may have been this farm.
