Oswald's Bar

Advertisement for "RC Royal Crown Cola" on building.

Zahorik’’s and later Haas’s tavern and general store from 1927-1955. Owned and operated by my grandparents and parents. I

Bob and Elaine Haas operated it as a bar and eating place. My husband Roger used to tend bar there for his aunt and uncle. Stadlers took it over after that. The house next door was owned by Lester Cherney's parents. My husband bought it on 1881.

Correction: 1881 should be 1981

My grandparents were owners Esther and Leonard Meyer. My parents were married and had their reception in the hall across the road. Wonderful memories!

You are right Holly. They bought it from my parents. I remember Esther and Leonard real well. I also remember you as a little girl.

My dad was William Meyer, also Leonard and Esther Meyer's son. My parents were married May 1955 when Leonard and Esther owned the bar and ran the store. My parents also had their reception in the dance hall across the street. Holly's mom Tuddy stood up for their wedding.
