In viewing this photo we beleive this looks like it may have been Winsten Tally farm is our guess. I do beleive that no one lives on this farm now and that only a few items are left on the farm, silo, shed, etc. Winsten Tally lives in Viroqua Wi. I beleive.
You're correct. This was the Tally farm. The main barn burned down years ago and the house on the left side burned down a few years after that. The Silo is still standing and the large main shed has been remodeled. The main shed is the only remaining building on the property. The land is privately owned and used for corn, soy alfalfa, beef cattle and forestry. This is one of the few farms in Wisconsin with a land patent. The owners are very fierce about property rights, trespass and monitor the land remotely with wireless cameras after several problems with hunters coming off the state property that boarders it. The family that owns it has a son in Westby, Brent. He is the main caretaker of the land. Last time I checked, they do not allow any deer hunters on the land.
