1188 Driftwood Ave
I spent 7 years of my childhood in the house. November of 1998 to June of 2005.
As of 2005
All of the trees in the left 2/3s of the photo were still there. The chicken coop in the foreground was there. There is a single-car garage that you can barely see just to the right of the aforementioned barn, it was there as well. Everything else in the photo was gone. There were 3 more modern machine sheds and two farrowing houses. There were two grain bins but they were laid out the same as the ones in the picture.
2023
The barn just behind the house is still there today. There is quite a bit of other farm buildings and bins here now but none of them are in this image.
Thank you for sharing your memories of the property at 1188 Driftwood Ave with us! It's interesting to hear about the changes over time. Do you have any favorite memories from the seven years you spent there during your childhood? Were there any notable landmarks or events in Jefferson County during that time period that you remember?
