Amazingly, this homestead remains but the entire top 1/3 and bottom half of this photo has been heavily developed.

In 1978 Tylersville Road was still virtually undeveloped as was Fields Ertel Road in Warren County. I can remember when there were only about 3 businesses on the entire stretch of Tylersville Road from the WLW Tower to Interstate 75. One of the businesses was a gas station and one was a fastfood restaurant called "Royal Castle". Royal Castle was a direct copy/ripoff of the classic Slider brand, White Castle. The only other business I can recall in 1977 at the Tylersville Road/Interstate 75 exchange was an indoor tennis club called Kingsgate Racquet Club. The club had changed names over the years and was still a tennis club until the last year or so. I've heard they've turned it into a pickleball club.
