the farm where I grew up on 8414 Mason Montgomery Rd. now a Proctor and Gamble Facility

Thank You to the Shappacher family! Not only for donating part of your land to Deerfield Township for Shappacher Park but also for selling your farm to Procter & Gamble. P&G locating here cemented this area as a Major growth suburb for Cincinnati and increased land values tremendously for all in the area. Along with Kings Island, P&G fueled the growth for the city of Mason. I grew up in 20 Mile Stand (now known as Landen) when Mason was country bumpkin as we all were and loved it in the 1960s and 1970s. :)

Actually the Schappacher family sold the farm to Natorp’s as my father’s hope was that the farm would stay a farm of trees for years to come and Natorps get the credit for the start of development with children’s hospital satellite back in the day

Well, Major Thanks still goes to your family as your father chose a steward of the property that was THE major driver of economic growth in Warren County.

That's a youtube video of the history of moving the Coney Island amusement park from the banks of the Ohio River to where it is today. A great historical documentary of how that happened for anyone who was lucky enough to grow up in Warren County in the 1960s and enjoy "country life".
Sadly, as of the recent news, it appears that the Coney Island pool, which was the largest recirculating pool in the world when constructed, will be lost to all with the properties' sale and development plans announced to end the pools' existence.

Thanks for the utube history. . I worked in “old coney” the first summer it opened, one of my college money jobs! Too many memories
