I lived on this farm as a child with my family from 1976-1982. It was once a dairy farm although I'm unsure whose (notice the prominent all white milk house at front of the barn). My father worked at Big Rapids Hospital in town (now Corewell Health) but would use the barn to board horses and I spent every day after school taking care of them. Many fond memories exploring the gigantic fields out back and the barn. There was a small playhouse built into a hill of lilac bushes in the side yard that my siblings and I spent hours playing in (seen here in the center of the photo just to the right of the barn, completely concealed by the bushes in bloom). There was a silo when we lived here (where the construction horse is positioned in this photo, perhaps removed just before this was taken?) Sadly, the farm and pasture fencing has since followed suit and no longer remain, only the house and large garage out back are standing.
