This farm was located on the east side of Haggerty Road halfway between Grand River and M-5. The horse track/circuit at the back of the property points to this being a horse farm/stable at the time. By 1967, the property shifted to a car sales lot and/or auto salvage as later aerial photos show entire lot filled with cars and scrap. The house appears to have been razed in the early 1980's, but the barn remained until the entire lot was demolished in the late 90's. Interestingly, two new buildings were built on the site in the early 2000's and now are home to Suburban Toyota and Suburban Honda of Farmington Hills.
Approximately 25000 Haggerty Rd. Farmington Hills, MI 48335
The car parts business was Haggerty Auto Parts. The lack of paddock fencing and the vehicles for sale might indicate that this may have been the beginnings of the auto salvage business.
